Arrow Missing Austrian Biker

A friend of mine an Africa Twin Rider from Austria seems to be lost somewhere in Queensland.
His girlfriend quiet worries about him, she has´t heard any since 8 days.
Last time he was in Winton heading for Townsville.
After she informed the police and embassy she has been told that he was seen on his way to Longreach receiving a ticket from the police.
She even rang the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
If somebody knowes anybody please inform them to look out for a big Honda Africa Twin from Austria.
He is a good Rider with a lot of Offroad Experience.
He may have taken some dirt roads.

I can imagine him taking off for a few days and going trough some national parks.

Kind Regards from the Octoberfest
Shappy

Hey mate

Dont know if you know the site, but post on Adventure Rider Motorcycle Forum in the australian regional forum - loads of people on there who may be able to help.

Sure all will be well - once away from the main cities, phone reception can be pretty rubbish, so can be diffcult to stay in touch.

Shappy,

Good to hear he's ok ! thats hell of a smack on the front he's had...

If he decides to rebuild the bike in Oz I have a top steering joke / rad and some other parts he can have, just needs to let me know ... I'm sure we can get the parts together here in Europe and send them over....

Good luck Matt

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
