Update

Hi all

Click on the link above to go to the new update
We would really love to have some of you here in New Zealand join us for this, as well as one of the many "practice rides" we will have to do before we start on the adventure.
Drop me a line if you are interested, or think there is something you may be able to help us with.
We are novices so all advice will be greatly appreciated

Cheers

Are you from HB? I was born there and will be returning to NZ round about the time of your ride. Will have to steal my bike (the infamous Orange Roughy) from my daughter but perhaps could join you for some of the journey. Your date and place of start will be..?? If we don't coincide - best wishes!

Hi Little Joanie

So you are coming home!!
yes I am based in the HB, and the ride leaves here on the 3rd February and returns to the HB on the 24th Feb after circumnavigating the country!!

Well we are less than 2 weeks away from the start of our ride for life adventure.

When we think back, we have come along way!! From never riding motorcycles, to riding what could become the greatest New Zealand Motorcycle adventure in 2007.

We have been riding a lot recently, some days about 500km a day in all weather conditions and on all surfaces.

The most amazing thing is the stories and emails we are receiving from around the globe with people living with Cancer.
Some of them are humorous; others are tearful and very sad. But thanks for all your good wishes; it is stories like that, which make it so worthwhile.

Please if you are in NZ between the 3rd and 24th Feb 07, look us up and join in.
Also please consider making a donation via our website (www.rideforlife.co.nz), I know we are a long way from some of you, but New Zealand is undertaking major research here into both Prostate and Breast cancer at Otago University, and have already made some good developments
The money will go towards the research so one day, we may all benefit from the fundraising efforts.

Regards

Scott & Carissa

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
