Insurance in Australia

Hi,

Just some quick info on insurance in OZ.

The only place I found that does it quick and easy for foreign bikes/riders is:

Kings Cross Auto Market
Kings Cross Car Market Online
1-800-808-188 (free call from anywhere in OZ)

It costs $280AU for 3 months (min duration) and everything can be done over the phone/fax/e-mail.

You *might* need to get a warranty of fitness for the bike if it's old or heavily modified, but they can help with that. I think a declaration from an overseas dealer that serviced the bike recently might work as well. My 2009 GSA with 160,000km didn't need one.
