HU Meeting Dayboro Photos 2011

Hi all

Have a bit of time, so I thought I would say a big thanks to all the organizers and helpers of this years get together, it was a great event and except for the slightly blowy conditions, the weather was fab.

Anyway, I thought I would post a few photos of the event, not many, just a taste.

Cheers
TS

Its now been a fortnight since the HUTM AUS2011 and I thought I might post some thoughts on it all.

Overall it was a great weekend. The location was close enough to a population centre to make sure that we had access to everything we could need. The presentations were very good and John Skillington did a great job as MC, although this wasn't planned, it just sort of organically happened.

I was really pleased with how the session with Danielle went, as we used just common, household equipment, a standard Toshiba laptop, a Telstra wireless connection, Skype and a practice amp for an electric guitar.

The ride-outs went down very well and I'll be on one of them next year for sure.

In 2012 we will change things up a bit and in 2013 look at a different location. I'm hopeful that some of HU followers in NSW or Vic become keen in organising something. I'll be more than happy to help with what we have learnt.

Anyhow, watch the thread for 2012 as I will be posting up soon. Thanks again everyone.

Shane

Thank you Shane, and everyone else involved in organizing and carrying off this years event at Dayboro.

My first HU meeting and I had a blast.

And in the international spirit that makes HU such a cool place, I've been very pleased to have been hosting Kev and Karen (of the crazy Guzzi) at my place on the Gold Coast for the last couple of weeks while they made some much needed repairs to the bike.

Just great people, and if you see them riding through your town while they're in Aus, flag them down and say g'day. They'll be happy to see you.

Thanks again Shane and all,
Pete.

Not a photo, but thought that this looks like the best thread to let you know that we banked $448.85 for Angel Flight. Very happy with that and thanks everyone for getting on board.

Regards,

Shane

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.
