Flooded Roads?
 

We are in Broken Hill with plans to head to Mildura and then east toward Wagga Wagga. Have had to detour a few times already due to flooding as we try to find the sun. Any advice on what routes to avoid. How long will it take for the water to recede once the rain stops, if it stops?

Try Mildura and then head towards the South coast - Mt Gambier maybe.

The Murray Valley Highway is likely to be closed once the waters from the Wagga floods get into the Murray River. Roads around Wagga to be closed for about 5 days as long as no more rain.

RTA Live Traffic NSW gives a rough idea of major highway closures but not local roads - far too many at present.

Dont ride into flood waters whatever you do - 2 people drowned in Qld over the weekend driving onto causeways and getting swept away.

We made it to Shepparton and will head for Mt. Buller for a few days, hope the water has gone down some by then as we need to make our way north.
