Buying a bike in WA
Hey guys,
I'm flying to Oz for a year in May 2011 and I plan on buying a bike within the first month. I was thinking of going to Perth first but I'm shocked by the very tiny amount of bikes for sale on bikepoint/tradingpost, am I just not looking in the right place? I'm looking for anything used like a XT250 or a KLR below 5k$ (need some type of offroading capabilities, top speed is a non-issue). I'll head for Sydney if I can't find anything but would much much rather start west. Thanks so much for the help poeple, it is very appreciated. |

Hi Th,
there are also other websites like bikesales.com.au. Just google for second hand bikes and you should find some. And yes, the quokka is a good starting point if you know what you're looking for. However, the paper version has a lot more adds than online so you might need to buy one once you're here. Cheers, T |

Hi,
why not starting with a wanted motorbike ad in the Quokka. Doesn't cost anything, leave your e mail address and tell the market excactly what you want and your price range. Took me 6 weeks till a finally found what I wanted, so better start now. Good luck. Cheers Helgo |
