Brisbane to Cracow return
 

Leaving this Thursday 26/07/07 early, overnight stop at Cracow Pub owned and run by Fred Brophy of Birdsville boxing tent fame. If we survive that night we will head to either Kandanga or Hivesville pub for Friday night to round off the trip home. I need to back in Brisbane before lunch on Saturday, but that shouldn't stop others continuing on. So far I have 3 starters for the Thurs night and another 4 for the Friday night.

It's short notice I know, but better late then never.

All welcome to join in, an idea of numbers would be good to book rooms if req, if not, the swag may come along for a ride again

Fred Brophy has many a story to tell of boxing tent experiences, very entertaining around a warm fire. We stayed off the main roads and did the dirt thing where possible and had a ball. The DL handled it all in style except for one unplanned excursion :oops2: that can only be blamed on rider error, excessive speed and fine sand on top of a hard packed clay surface. We both survived but the bushes and saplings that I ploughed over may take a while to recover. Oh yes, and I did need to change my jocks ASAP.

Highly recommend both Cracow Pub, Kandanga Pub and after visiting Hivesville Pub I will be sure to allow for an overnighter there next time too.

I know that the notice for this was short and it involved some weekdays off but you have to take it when you can get it.

I do this sort of ride on average every 3 months to clear some cobwebs.
