Bikes in N.S.W (dual sport or enduro)

Hi there, i'll be throughout Australia in 4 or 5 weeks for a year( Penrith, N.S.W.), i'd like to buy a 250 motorbike, i searched in bikepoints.com.au and other site for these bikes, do you know if i can get a bike like a TTR 250 or a Yamaha XT 600 E in the range of 3000 AUD

Cheers

thanks mate, i see the bikes over there are pretty much cheaper than here in south america, i have a 98' xt 600 with gobi hepco becker and acerbis 23 liters and price here for her go for 4500 to 5000 AUD with no accesories, thanks mate, i'll be happy to buy a xt 600, other thing, are there in N.S.W. good trails to ride in? i was looking in google earth but can't see to much on the hills near the olympics pools

Cheers

People don't like you riding in there backyards.. vast area west of the blue mountains .. and parts of the mountains themselves .. .. and north and south of Penrith .. but say 100kms distant? Err I'm talking about rides rather than a 1 hour trip.

thanks again, do you know what are the most 250 common bikes overthere? here are very common the XR 250 but i currently have a TTR 250 ( i like her a lot), i'm seeing some DR 350, what enduro or dual sport bike do you recommend for best support in spares in N.S.W.?

Highest sales are the Post office bike - Honda 110cc - used to deliver the mail. Commonly called posty bikes. 250 Trail bikes .. I don't know. Both Honda and Yamaha are popular.

Define 'best'?
Cheapest?
Quickest to get the part? Err the right ruddy part!

Think they are all much of a muchness. Best off with one that does not need parts. Failing that one that has wrecked bikes in the wrecker yards.
