Where to buy slides (storage runners) in UK

Here's the type of thing I'm after but they don't post to UK.

900MM LOCKABLE FRIDGE SLIDE/RUNNER 125KG MEDIUM DUTY 4X4 DRAWER RUNNER | eBay

I haven't measured up yet, it is just an idea at the moment.

Anyone tried something similar, what do you find are the pros and cons?

I found local stores only carry short lengths. Measure up and see what your exact needs are. Rotal length , do you need 100% extension and what weight will it be asked to hold.

Accuride make all sorts but are expensive. I found a chap on ebay a while baxk selling 700mm slides for 20 quid. They are in my trailer and work quite well for light duty. rated to 60kg i think, have a look around, its a bit of a headache.

Thanks for the leads, I'll look into it in more detail. I can see that fixing them securely to be resistant to leveraged force upwards could be a pain because there are only carpeted boards resting on a frame covering a storage area where once there was folddown rear seats.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
