Two years ago it was like 20 Euro Cents a liter in Kaliningrad. This will be similar in to the rest of Russia I guess. No Idea about the rest.

Latest available prices (1/8/04) for diesel per litre on file are as follows :

Russia 8.00 - 9.00 RUB
Belarus 0.955 BRB
Ukraine 2.10 UAH

These should taken as a guide only !
Sorry nothing for Mongolia or Stan countries

Regards

OK, thanks very much.

I've heard 17-25p a litre so budgeting on doing the shortest route to UB in Mongolia from London, plus an extra 500km's, means the diesel costs range from 420 to 740 gbp on a sliding scale of 15-26mpg (18.8 - 10.8 l/100km).

This vaguely takes into account the different costs of diesel in UK/France/Germany and then Poland/Belarus and then Russia/Mongolia and is being conservative on prices and mpg.

Seems to be about 11100km using the route through Poland and Belarus with an extra 500km thrown in for good measure (to be treated as a minimum obvioulsy).
