Royal Geog Soc Overland Workshop - York, 28/29 May

Two day overland travel workshop sponsored by Royal geog Soc in York at the end of this month - May 28/29. Attendance £15 per vehicle regardless of size of number of occupants.

Programme of lectures over 2 days, with trade stands in attendance selling kit etc. Camping on site in scenic Yorkshire Dales location plus two buffet lunches as part of fee.

Talks programme (for once the weight of the subjects has swung away from Africa towards Asia!);

Ryan Walker Asia Overland
Mark Saville Iceland Overland
Simon Ward-Hastelow Overlanding with Children

Two more still to be confirmed.

About 200 folk coming, including some guys driving from Italy and Belgium.

All welcome!

PM me for info if interested.

I'm sorry that I missed this, I was only starting my research into this whole area.

I see the RGS are running their EXPLORE weekend in November, Would that be of interest to Overlanders that want to get involved with a few projects while travelling?

Merv.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
