how far will i get
 

Hi all
A bit of a strange one but here gose,we were ment to be heading off to namibia at the end of the month we were going down the east coast but due to the trubles we have change our route to the west coast we had 12 months to do it in but now i had to leave England early and meet my wife in switzerland, where we were going to wait for the carnet.
But now i've been offered a really good job in italy so can only travel antill the end of May as i have to start in june so hears the qustion How far can i get down the west coast before i have to turn back to make it to italy in time i was thinking maybe Senagal? and as i now won't have time to sort out the carnet can i get away with not having one.

Instead of trying to go as far as possible, why not spend more time in a few countries...I'm sure you will enjoy the countries a lot more that way:funmeteryes:...instead of treating your trip like a possible 'race'

You don't need a Carnet for Morocco, Mauritania, Mali or Senegal.

too true pumbaa I think you hit the nail on the head i think i'm just going to drive for 5 weeks and get as far as i do and the turn around and all along the route meet the people and do some fishing
