Grimaldi Lines advice/recommendations?

Does anyone have some recent experience of Grimaldi's roro from Europe to South America (Buenos Aires). I have a vague recollection of a post mentioning taking out their insurance package, which buys off the "light fingers" on board, but I can't find it now. Maybe I dreamt it?
Can't afford the time to accompany the truck so has anyone any comments about picking it up on the other side?
The truck is too big for a container, so RoRo or the deck of a freighter is the only option. I know the overland truck companies (Drago, Tucan, Exodus etc) used to ship via empty banana boats going back to Ecuador, which was cheap, but I've spent a week getting one out of Guayaquil and it was no fun!:cursing: Also, this is the wrong end of the continent to where I want to be. Comments/suggestions gratefully received!

I'm pretty sure as a non comercial customer you will have to travel with your truck!
Strand Travel are there UK agents and I found them helpful.

Cheers

grimaldi lines

We will go by a roro ship of grimalidi-lines in november. The ship is leaving from antwerp. I am pretty shure, if you contact the grimalidi-office in antwerp that the can help you with your question.

grimaldi agent in the uk

Hi we shipped over our truck from tilbury to B.A and used a agent from southampton, he was great the company link is www.safemariner.co.uk/index.html

as for stuff going walkabout if your back is sectioned off from the front you should have no trouble.
we were surprised at how everyone who we spoke to about the grimaldi line to south america said the borrowing of stuff was in africa.
as we sailed with our truck we found out it wasnt africa but more closer to home.
take a look at our site for info on the voyage
GETTING THERE

give us a buzz if you need anymore info

Many thanks for the responses folks. Will try the various links and see what happens. Just fitting the windows in the side of the truck and she'll be ready to go, but we probably won't set sail 'till near the end of the year.
Safe travels all,
Simon.
