RoRo or Container > wharf costs?

Most people ship India to SE Asia, ie Singapore, as I'm going Singapore to India, I would like some advice re RoRo vs Container.

I have a quote for around US $1100 RoRo, and $750 container.

Can anyone tell me if the costs of getting the car off the wharf from a container would be higher or very similar, ie is my best bet to go container as it's cheaper?

Security is not such an issue, as the back of the van we're travelling in is fully secured with cargo barrier and security mesh on all windows behind cargo barrier, so I'm quite happy to hand someone the keys to drive it on/off...

Any advice appreciated!

weird that RoRo is more expensive than container. My experience is the other way around,as it takes less space in the ship than a container, therefore you have the higher risk of theft/damage.
If you travel with the same ship you can drive the car on\off board and there are no extra charges (at least not with Grimaldi Lines).
If you send it as cargo with RoRo there will be some charges, a bit less than a container. For the container you will get some charges like paying for the carpenter to fix your vehicle in the container, and handling charges (the container must be transported by truck from and to the warehouse and a crane is necessary, more expensive than the guy who races your car on and off board but well in the end, in your case as the RoRo freight is more expensive I doubt that there will be a difference between the 2 options.
