Unven lift with new OME springs
I have just had a new set of OME springs fitted to an 80 series tlc. I have OME850 springs on the front and OME863B on the passenger side and OME863A on the driver side at the back. This is a UK spec vehicle.

Without any load the distance between the top to the wheel and the arch on the passeger side at the back is one inch higher than on the diver side. The vehicle looks tilted up at the back on the passenger side.

The worshop noticed this when I went to pick the vehicle up and said that there should be no difference between the two sides. They have offered to swap the springs around to see if this helps, no charge.

I'm not sure whether to ask for replacement with a new set of back springs.

OME springs are matched to OME shocks (due to the extra travel etc - 50mm on the HD combo)

If you are using third party shocks then that could be your problem.

The shocks were changed at the same time as the springs. They are also OME.

Thanks Roman. Your link is spot on.

I am wondering if there is a good reason for the wheel that sits on the lower side of the road, the near side, to have a higher lift. Since I will be travelling in right hand and left hand drive countries I think I would prefer the car to be lifted the same on both sides.

I have had the same problem in the past with Land Rover springs. At the last spring update I ignored the fact that LR springs were handed and just put the same height/part number on each side for front and back respectively. No problems - works a treat. And you can choose the higher of any choice of springs for extra ground clearance. Shocks should not be an issue, at least as far as LR are concerned.
