Underbody fuel tanks
Hi,
I have an Isuzu Trooper with lots of space under the floor to fit an extra tank. Can anyone advise on the best way to do this. I was thinking of finding any old second hand tank that fits and fitting it somehow to the chassis. Would I have to splice it in to the fuel line or is there a way I could drain it manualy. Thanks, Finian |

Hi
fitting a 2nd tank is only half the problem How are you going to fill it and how do you get the contents out to the engine My preferred methof of using 2 tanks is to have them act as 2 completly seperae systems so if you hole one then you can continue with the other. To do this I use a solenoid operated valve that will switch both feed and return (and the fuel guage) You can just use an electric fuel pump to pump from your extra tank to your main tank and then onwards to the engine ------------------ Rich LR101 300Tdi Ambi 'Tiggurr'
