substitute for EP90 gearbox-oil, anyone?

Yep,

has anyone heard of substitute oil for the EP90 gearbox-oil used in Land Rovers? Normal hypoid gearbox-oil tends to loose its lubricant performance with extreme temperatures.
Does the name MTF-oil rings a bell to anyone?

Thanks,

Kar El

What sort of gearbox are you using, as there are different types of oil used in different boxs, eg ATF or engine oil, try posting this on the LRE forum, as there is bound to be some one there who knows the ins and outs of every oil.

Hi

Modern Landrovers use ATF I believe

Old 4 sped range rover gearboxes use engine oil

So its down to the type of vehicle you have (i think series vehicles d ouse ep90)

Try someone like miller oils in the uk as they seem to be pretty switched on
