OME (or similar) suspension parts for Toyota HDJ 80 Land Cru

Hi chaps and chapesses,

Does anyone know where - in the UK I can get some Old Man Emu (or similar) suspension parts (new springs/dampers and whatnot) for my 1995 80-series Land Cruiser? There soom to be lots of places in the US and Oz selling them, but I can't find anywhere over here.

cheers,

Andy B

Andy,

OME products are distributed in Europe by Taubenreuther. They have a sister company in the UK:

T.B.R. UK Limited

Industrial Park
Kennington Road
Ashford

Thanks Roman - I'll look them up! If you have any other useful TLC 80 links for the UK, I'd be delighted to hear about them. You have to kiss a lot of 'Landrover Only' frogs otherwise!

Andy,

Just as you said - due to the insular mentality of the great British public - here it's LR only. But go to the continent and the proportions are quite different. The best outfit I've come accross so far is All American Imports in Holland:

All American Imports
Veerweg 6, Kaatsheuvel

Maarten Verschure is the most knowlegeable LC guy I've met. When you speak to him, just tell him you've been in touch with me. He's got all the goodies you can think of and some. And his labour charges are ca 30 quid per hour. It makes more sense to book a bigger job with him than to spend 65 quid per hour at a local toyota dealer.

Thanks for the tip. There's even a ferry going from near my house Scotland to Holland these days, so I could easily make a nice trip of it.

Why can't there be more Land Cruiser fans in the UK? :-)

Thanks again, Andy

mainly because a) Landcruisers such as the 75 / 78 series and the 100 series use lots of fuel making them unattractive with UK fuel prices and b) due to them being financially unattractive, not many people buy them so its not worth it for Toyota to get them through the vehicle requirements for sale in to the UK, therefore less choice, no offical 75 / 78 series for sale, even less people buy them, its a circular action.
