National Luna Battery Connection Help

1 Attachment(s)
Late last year I bought this 2nd hand National Luna Battery Management System.

Attachment 3109

I've given the Auto Electrician (Mark) the following document to help him with the installation as no instructions came with the BMS. Its for a slightly different model...

http://www.nationalluna.com/Datashee...e%20manual.pdf

Am I right in thinking that the +ve on the left of the BMS (with black plastic cover) goes to the +ve on the Main Battery, and the +ve on the right (with black plastic cover) goes to the +ve on the Aux Battery.

Does the -ve of the Aux Battery itself go to the -ve of the Main Battery, which then goes back to the BMS via the Black Cable (coiled up) on the far Right Hand side?

What would the Red cable (coiled up on the far left hand side) be used for ?

Thanks in Advance,
Rich

Its obvious that the manual is for another model than yours, so I wonder if you have the same buttons as in the manual, if not, then the red wire could be the "timer override" but its not mentioned anywhere.

OR it could be an ignition connection, to switch off all the lamps and displays when stopped.

OR someone did his own mod the kit.

There is however both tlf number and e-mail address in the manual, so talk to the guys.

You are right about the rest of the wires as sketched by you.

PS sounds as a nice piece of kit and well designed (apart from the missing wire in the manual)

Drop NL an email, they are reportedly a very good "customer support" company. No doubt they will have older instructions on file somewhere that they could PDF you.

what you have suggested sounds correct, but I would get a set of instructions to clarify anything.

I,m fairly sure that wire goes to your ignition switch. I know I have a couple of pics somewhere that show the wiring diagrams etc I will post them up for you in a short while.
