Leaded gas in Coleman stoves

I have a Coleman stove which accepts unleaded gas as well as colemanfuel. In most Saharan countries it is not possible to get this stuff. Does anyone have experience using leaded gas in these stoves? Do they break down or can you keep them going by cleaning the generator more often?

Yep, you just have to clean the generator more often. Like once a week with regular use. Other than that they work fine but run a little dirtier.

cheers

I have used various sorts of fuel in stoves but would recommend taking as much Coleman fuel as you are able. Having a stove that is clogged up and on the blink is a real pain in the a**e when youre trying to cook, as when they go out the thing is so damn hot you have to wait a good five minutes before they cool down enough to clean them. By which time: youve kicked sand in your food, the rice on the other stove is over cooked and your hands are covered in soot having cleaned stove ... hell I'm starting to sound like an old woman!
