Landrover versus Landcruiser
 
We are planning to travel from Amsterdam to CapeTown, and we are going to do this with a 4 Wheel Drive.
Can anybody give us a advice witch car and wat kind of fuel (diesel or petrol)is the best option

Here we go again :-)

Since I am also a newbie but have done some research into the matter I'll give you my take:

1. You'll get opinion pro and con for both vehicle types. I think everybody will tell you that the fuel has to be diesel.

2. Laro or TLC depends on your situation. Are you technical. What's the budget. What are you going to do on your trip. What are personal preferences. Where are you going.

3. Since I am not very technical I need a reliable car and 95% of the people advised me to go for Toyota Landcruiser. I bought a 7 year old HZJ 75 last friday in Belgium. since you are also in the Netherlands I might be able to give you some pointers along the road.

HI peje

definatly go for the diesel - I have drive both LR and TLC in Africa and unless you are planning some serious off-roading which you almost certainly will not then I would go for an 80 or 70 series TLC.
Just my opinion.
