Hmm, what about this as an expedition vehicle?

It's an Alvis Tactica, 3litre Perkins Turbodiesel 4x4, armoured vehicle.

Length: 6 M
Width: 2.25 M
Height: 2.55 M
Weight: GVW 11,000 Kgs

but Google isn't revealing a lot more about it. Withams have got a whole load, starting at about £3300 inc VAT.

Obviously it's a bit military looking for certain countries, but painted pink, with some pretty flowers (err maybe not) it mightn't be a bad basis for something.

I can see it with a pop top and some extra windows cut in the sides.

EDIT: Photoshop is a wonderous thing.

11 tons plus roof tent seems to be a bit on the heavy side.

looking at the **** withams pedal as roadworthy landrovers for highly inflated prices I wouldn't assume three grands worth of one of these will get you very far!!

Well, I wasn't saying I want it, just that it could be novel, and errr..... heavy.

I prefer my lightweight Fiat Panda 4x4 personally.

I'd buy one to use during the deer hunting season here in Canada .
It would be the only place were you could be safe from trigger happy drunks.

Wouldn't this be the perfect school run vehicle for those London mums??? No risk of getting shot or other vehicles getting in their way!
