High Altitude heating Webasto/Eberspacher

I have a D1 Eberspacher diesel heater.
apparently after 1500metres it will not perform correctly.
you can obtain (anybody know part number or supplier contact for this ?) an additional pump which improves performance up to 2500metres.

However, we are about to hit SOuth America and the many countries with lots of Andes!

We are expecting to be at altitudes in excess of 2500.

Anybody have any information or advice or just knowledge about this issue ?

Phil.

My Eberspacher worked fine on several European Alp passes at more than 2000m, but I can't say above that! The horn stopped well below that though which was odd!

Hi phil
not sure about a Eberspacher, but with a webasto you put in a less powerful diesel pump.i think it reduces your deisel by 25%
many people crimp the fuel pipe but you may need a return pipe to the tank.
we have a webasto and we are in chile now but we dont normally have it on when crossing, we dont hang around. not yet anyway.
may see you somewhere
warm travels:D
