'HT' coils from NL for 80 TLC?

Anyone heard of them. Cant find on the web.

I dont think they have a website.
Some Dutch guys I used to trial with, used to buy components from them and they looked pretty good.

Also, Ive seen there suspension on a few vehicles, notably this couples rather nice TLC camper conversion. (they also have HTs Contact details on there website I have just seen - under 'leveranciers')

Good coils for an 80

Thanks for the info Grif - another source also gives the same numbers and email could be: Htsuspension at cs.com

If anyone is interested, the silver 80 on our recent SEQ trip ran HTs hard with a 2 week/2000km fuel & water payload (+ a Hilux on a rope for 2 days!) and didnt miss a beat. One month old OME coils on the other 80 with similar payload broke (though shock age & quality could have something to do with it)

Do you know which springs they had on? The only times I have heard of OME springs breaking are when they have been incorrectly rated.

Heavy duty is all I know - but the car was carrying up to 500L of fuel and all the rest + hard driving and a shagged car may have had something to do with it. Still, you'd think they would last more than a month or two.
A broken coil is no big drama as you may know, and can go unnoticed for weeks. Once in town they did a rather ingenious repair by curving and welding a bit of rebar along the break like a splint. It worked for a week at least.

I have heard of other examples where OME coils have failed within a few 1000kms although OME leaves have always been as good as anything I've used.

Still waiting to hear back from HT.

Chris,

After my Libyan trip in Feb I hope to be able to report on a combination of Eibach springs (H&R B/C HDJ80 Master Rally rear; 47/04 HDJ80VA front) and rear AirLift bags plus Bilstein shocks.

Last time I enquired with Coen of HT SUSPENSION SYSTEMS about their toys he quoted me Eur1800 for the shocks (remote reserv) and four springs, but it was in 2002.

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love.
