Wish I had the money for this ... 230148573700 e-bay number - seems to be a brilliantly built Land Rover

Nicely put together, no doubt. But 20K for a non-runner 101 petrol IMHO is a bit optimistic...

I agree, especially as the old straight six petrol engine was never the best of Land Rover engines. It was probably the original unit in this vehicle. Even if it had a diesel conversion it would still be a liitle steep as the lack of bidding suggests. Look at the bidding on the Iveco that Moodybloo's found on eBay at the moment for comparison:
eBay.co.uk: expedition overlander not unimog 4x4 motorhome (item 170127128283 end time 11-Jul-07 18:00:00 BST)

Yes, I spotted this one yesterday, Kevin! I now know of seven of the original eight British ambulances, only one left to trace. All but one now campers. I reckon this guy is a little optimistic too, this time with his 25mpg (especially on XCL's); I've never got close to that with my WM and I haven't got an enormous master bedroom over the cab! I'd like to know where he got the 4700kg MGW from? And I would especially like to know who his local Iveco dealer is if he can get military WM spares over the counter easily!!! But again it's a nicely built conversion.

We are taking 'Mavis' the Iveco 4x4 Offroad Camper to the War and Peace show at Beltring in Kent from 18 - 22 July. Ironically, after all these years of trying to make it less military-looking I am now trying to make it look like an ex-army truck again as they have accepted it as a exibitor's vehicle! As long as none of the die-hard military enthusiasts drag me over to the nearest wall and shoot me for 'ruining' a perfectly good vehicle..... Anyway, if anyone is going there do look us up and say hello.

Nigel

Some incredible 4x4 & 6x6 on Austria's e-bay - typed in 'allrad' and got two interesting propositions
eBay Österreich: allrad
This link should bring a list of about 20 vehicles, 2 look very interesting for someone!

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
