Campingaz or not?

Have logged this in the camping equipment section, but no replies, so I'm hoping the Saharans can help.

I've got 2 campingaz 907 cylinders, which I thought would be fine for a trans-Africa trip, crossing the Sahara and then down through East Africa to South Africa. Someone has suggested that these might not be easy to get refilled because the fitting isn't compatible in some countries.
Should I get swap them for Calor Gas cylinders or should I get 2 multi-fuel burners instead? I've searched and and searched the web and this site for answers, but none are clear. Please help.

Thanks
Belinda

Calour wont be much good to you after you leave the UK, better off sticking with C/G, at least you can get it Europe, doubt you will have much luck finding it in Africa, but all you need to do is buy a new reg and use what ever gas the locals are using or swap regs and gas cylinders with people travelling in the opposite direction to you in Africa.

Wait until you get to Africa (north especially) where you can buy a gas bottle and two burner cooker for about 8 euros. (Do what the locals do etc)

Hi 907 camping gaz cylinders are used throughout west africa and are readily exchangeable but you,ll probably get back a different brand cylinder, we traveled as far as Ghana with no problems changing the cylinder.
