Anyone with experience of selling a South African registered vehicle in Europe?
Hi there,
We are currently driving our vehicle (LC 79 double cab conversion) from SA to Europe (now in Ethiopia). We are considering selling the vehicle in Europe on arrival and would appreciate any advice on selling methods, where it would be best to try and sell and any paperwork involved. The vehicle is currently on a carnet. Also any advice on where to look for information on all the bureaucratic details would be most helpful. Thanks Andrew Just in case anyone in Europe is interested it is a 2004 Land Cruiser HZJ79 double cab conversion with 105,00km. RHD. Plenty extras!

I'm looking at doing a trip from the UK to SA in about a year, so I might be interested in your Cruiser. let me know if you're still looking to sell. Not sure if it could just be transferred over here, but might be possible. Not sure about the rest of Europe but official details for importing into the UK are here: http://www.direct.gov.uk/Motoring/Bu...AVehicle/fs/en Prices seem to be higher in the UK than the rest of Europe, and it's a RHD market, so probably easier to sell there.
