Wanted - Seat Covers and Sand Mats in Cairo, Egypt

Hi Hubbers

We're in Dahab at the moment on our way up to Cairo in the next few days.

Can anybody suggest where we might be able to pick up some Aluminium Sand Mats and some reasonably priced canvas seat covers in or around the Cairo area?

Cheers

Ness

Or alternatively, does anyone coming north want to sell us their sand mats? We have some steel ones but they are very bulky and heavy so were hoping to get some lightweight/more compact ones (otherwise we might have to take to them with the grinder - for the third time!!).

Cheers :-)

You'll be struggling to find aluminium sand mats on sale anywhere.
They may have something -
Offroad Egypt ::

But they never did when I wanted some. I ended up with steel ones from the UK. I even offered to buy them from any local I saw, but they never wanted to sell them. Otherwise you may get a pair from a safari company if you see any.
Good luck.

Sand Mats

Hi,

Happened to pass 'Offroad Traxx' in Road 233 Ma'adi last night, so popped in to have a look.

1m pair of Alumininium Mats 880LE, 1.5m pair 1100LE.

No idea of the quality, but they looked OK.

Off road Egypt also have the plastic sand mat things (MAXTRAX) for a hefty 1600 roughly.

Hey Jamie,

Thanks so much for that! So is that a shop in Cairo? Is it easy to find? We are off to the big smoke tomorrow so might pass by if we can find it. :-)

Cheers mate
