Want to rent a Landrover ?

I'm shipping a completely equipped Landrover 130 to Cape Town and leaving it in Southern Africa for a year. It's called 'Dent'... I'm sure you can figure out why !!!

To cut a long story short; I was planning to travel for a year myslef but now can't do that. So instead I plan to make two seperate four week trips from Cape Town and back. Or maybe three separate trips if I can fit it in. A friend of mine has a place where I can store the LR in between, not far from Cape Town.

So seeing as the vehicle will be there I was thinking about trying to re-coup some of my costs by letting it out to other overlanders. Not sure about costs but would you pay £600 a week to rent this vehicle ? It's got absolutely everything you need in it including a very extensive spares kits, fridge, roof tent, awning, air compressor, full tool kit, winch and a hot water system / shower.

It's currently in the UK so there's an opportunity to have a look over it if anybody is interested. I would rent it out for any period of time that anybody wanted.

If you have any thoughts, drop me a line,

cheers

Simon

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
