80 series in south africa

Hello

Looks like you had an amazing trip. It looks like you followed our exact route from Europe, via the Middle East and East Africa via lake Turkana.

An amazing adventure

So I see your selling your cruiser

Give me details of costing. I know it costs two to two and half thousand to ship to the UK. I am possibly willing to offer you 8 if you include shipping

Let me know if this sounds like something you will consider

Thanks

Alan

Hi all,

We have dropped the price to £8000 to facilitate a quick sale.

Shipping the vehicle to the UK would cost around £2.2k excluding destination charges. We would prefer to sell to someone driving north but can help with shipping if required.

Brett is compiling a list of all the spare parts right now, so will put that up on our website as soon as that is ready.

We got various people to work on the truck - its all detailed on our website on the vehicle prep page:
vehicle prep | two turkeys and a rope | Ness and Brett's overland adventure from London to Cape Town

The carnet is valid until 28 Feb 2012 so it will probably be available here in Cape Town until then for anyone wanting to do a northbound trip. It's a good chance to save on shipping costs to buy a kitted out cruiser here in Cape Town!

Any further questions let me know.
Cheers

I assume you are trying to sell this to a traveller, however if you are looking at selling it to someone wanting to import it permanently into South Africa the import duties are extortionate, which may reduce its attractiveness.

If you don't have any luck in SA, you might want to consider selling in Namibia or Botswana where the import duty rates are lower.

Spare parts

Hi All,

A full list of spare parts is now on our website, as well as a bunch of photos of the vehicle.
We will also sell these separately if anyone is interested.

Rodders for sale! | two turkeys and a rope | Ness and Brett's overland adventure from London to Cape Town

Yes we are looking to sell to a traveller heading north or to someone wanting to import the vehicle into Zimbabwe, Zambia or Mozambique.

Any further questions let me know.

Cheers
