Unimog for sale, rent or buy back…..

Unimog for sale, rent or buy back…..

1987 1300L Expedition equipped Unimog.

This Unimog is located in Quito, Ecuador, (South America) and is being used for light tourist/expedition work at the moment. Due to an expanding company we are either looking to sell the Unimog (be sad to see her go….) Rent her out by the week, month or even arrange a guaranteed buy back scheme. We can arrange shipping to any where in the world and will take care of any paper work needed. If you decide to come to Ecuador it would be possible for us to help you plan and expedition here or throughout South America.

The Unimog.
The Unimog was once part of the German military; it still has its round roof top hatch at the front which makes a great sun roof or viewing platform. It was then sold to a UK based Unimog specialist who then sold it to a UK based Adventure Overland company, who then shipped it to Ecuador. The UK Adventure Overland company had the custom back built here in Ecuador so it could take part in South America tours. The back is built to a very high standard as the same company makes luxury buses. We have been using it for while and I have to say that there is nothing that I would change. It would be possible at not much cost to remove the seats and change the interior into a camper van with bed, kitchen, shower etc. We could arrange this.

Mechanics
Everything works just fine and has been maintained to a very high standard. Recently the brakes were fully overhauled and it has just had a major service with everything being checked. We are currently in the process of putting new tires on it.
It will cruise at around 70kph and returns around 15-25KPG depending on use.

This Unimog will make a great expedition vehicle here in South America or any where you would like to ship it. As stated before I will arrange (but not pay!) for shipping anywhere in the world. If you decided to purchase it I would refund the flight cost from the price if you flew here to check it out and then bought it…We would need to arrange this first….
The other option would be to fly here to Quito and then head off on an Ecuador or South America expedition, we could arrange as much or little of this as need as I have myself driven the length of South America

The price is $30’000US dollars.

If you would like to see some fotos or need any more info please email me...

Hope to hear from you soon. Joe

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
