Kitted Discovery I for sale

I have just started my own Tree Surgery business and my Disco has got to go - need the space and money - as I have had to invest £?,000's in a truck, chipper, trailer, and all the other kit. - ropes, harnesses, saws, etc.

I purchased it about a year ago from a friend who was emigrating - will find a link to all the work he did to it, however here goes with the full spec etc:

1994 200 Tdi Disco 1, 3 door, wind jammer blue car has done approx 96,000 miles - about 1000 since I bought it from Colin a year ago. Taxed and Mot'd.

Engine: 200 Tdi, with Twisted Performance Intercooler with Blue Typhoon silicone hoses, K&N Air Filter, Powertek boost controller and some fine tuning work on the fuelling - now producing 140-150 bhp? 2Bar boost guage on dash and diesel oil temp fitted. Heat exhaust blanket fitted to manifold and most pipework. Green pilot fitted to fuel line and Kenlow fan fitted with switch. 100 amp 300tdi upgraded alternator.

Tornado Full bore Stainless Steel Sports Exhaust system.
Engine, gearbox, transferbox and both diffs treated with Molyslip.

Safari Snorkel with full wading kit, including axle, gearbox and transfer box breather pipes. Additionally breather pipes fitted to the fuel pump and PAS bottle. All breather pipes extended to the top of the snorkel which is also fitted with a Hi-clone fly and crap trap.

Brakes: Full EBC vented and cross drilled discswith Green 6000 series pads and extended braided brake hoses front and rear.

Wheels and tyres: 5x Land Rover Freestyle Alloys and BFG M/T's with loads of tread left (60-70%). 30 mm wheel spacers fitted . The wheel arches have been trimmed to stop the tyres from fouling.

Suspension: Scorpion Racing Extreme Kit - 2inch lift, rear shock mount lowering kit, springs uprated front 20% and rear 24%, castor corrected front radius arms and rear trailling arms with rear shock mount lowering kit and dislocation cones, rear spring retainers and Double Karden propshaft. Orange polybush kit.

Protection: Southdown Eng front steering/sump guard - 8mm galvanised steel.
Southdown Eng font axle guard - 8mm galvanised steel.
Southdown Eng rear diff/axle protector - 8 mm galvanised steel.
Southdown Eng fuel tank guard with detachable towing bracket and a Hi-Lift Jack Adaptor- 8mm galv steel.
Scorpion Racing Extreme rock sliders with 2 x hi-lift jack points.
Scorpion Racing Extreme front winch bumper - 5mm powder coated steel with 2x hi-lift jack points and 2 x swivel recovery eyes.
Scorpion Racing Extreme rear bumper - 5mm powder coated steel with 2x hi-lift jack points and a swivel recovery eye.
The vehicle can be jacked up or lifted on any of the under body protection plates, bumpers or rock sliders.
Front and rear light guards.

Safety Devices Camel Tophy Expedition Roof Rack - part chequer plated.

Warn 9.5xp 6hp winch, with uprated Albright solenoid and heavy duty isolator switch. Winch operating switches on dashbaord and front grill - waterproofed, plus remote. Master switch on dash.

2x Exide Maxima Deep Cycle 900 dc gel batteries.
National Luna dual battery monitoring system, and a battery/alternator charge meter.

Lights: 2x 55w Driving lamps, 2x 55w fog lights and 4 x 100w spots mounted on light bar.
2x grill mounted 100w driving lamps.
2x rear mounted work/reverse lamps.

Security: Clifford 950 Intelligent Alarm/security system - Thatcham Category 1 alarm and immobiliser - fully programmable - rock/tilt motion sensors, perimeter sensors, remote start, anti-hijack and remote coding with manual overide.

Dog/cargo guard, Chequer plating to sides and tailgate door, 2x lockable steel/chequer plate tool/security boxes in the boot, front seat covers, Land Rover rubber mats. Staun tyre deflators. Front mud-flaps

Maintenance and Servicing: I have a file full of receipts approx 2-3" s thick for parts and servicing work done to this vehicle - as you can see the parts and kit are all first class items and the servicing/repair/fitting work has been carried out by one of the leading Land Rover independent specialists.
There are also items that I do not have receipts for - Exhaust, tyres, alloys, snorkel, roof rack etc. The missing receipts must total £5-6000 and the receipted items £8000-10000.

2005-2006 - Various servicing work and all off-roading mods and kit, cambelt, new starter motor, new propshaft and reconed gearbox, new steering box, full brake overhaul, underbody protection fitted, susension fitted, trackrods, bonnet pins, batteries, winch and all associated parts, Nat Lunar batt mon, bumpers, rocksliders, guages, new alternaor, gearbox seals, new inj pump, pas pump, transferbox, a frame ball joint.

The boot floor was replaced and the whole inside and underside painted with Hammerite, which has been refreshed since.

So not only well prepped mechanically and kitted out for off roading, green laning, competitions or expeditions this truck has been fully overhauled and almost rebuilt. Has a few scratches and dings - particularly one to the off side rear qtr, but nothing that detracts from its capabilites.
Superbly capable and ready to roll. Get yourself a bargain and be the envy of your friends - you just got to add up some of the costs above to know shes worth an offer for daily driver/off-roader/comp truck/overlanding - capable for any of the above and most of the expense has been taken care of by someone else.

Offers welcome - would prefer to sell as a whole, she is going up on ebay later, then if no takers would be open to offers for vehicle and /or bolted on parts - will try to add pics/link later - here it is:

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
