Exped prepped 110 hardtop for sale

The time has come! I really cannot justify keeping my landy, and want to find her a new home with someone who will take her abroad again! She's just done 23k to Cape Town and wants to be off again.

She's a 1995 M reg, 123,000 miles, with 12 months MOT and 5 months tax and is in good nick all round.

I'm looking for offers...
Let me know what you think:thumbup1:

Hmmm, so plenty of looks, but not much interest. :frown:

Is anyone interested but put off by the kit, or the price?

I'd appreciate any feedback.

Cheers:thumbup1:

Got one already!

Hi Bill,

I've got one already and the wife won't let me have two :) I got mine for £7k, which was probably a little overpriced for my vehicle (www.jollyfollies.com), but you have done 50k less miles. I'm no expert (and I think that will be the target market for an already equipped vehicle) but it would have scared me off. £7k was my upper limit.

I might be interested in some of your kit/spares if your splitting up and they're going cheap. Let me know :)

Good luck anyhow

 Thanks for that, we travelled with Rich and Camilla for a while on our trip so I know your landy quite well. I've based our asking price on theirs, as you say our truck is 3 years and 50k younger and also has considerably more kit.

We've been fairly lazy in trying to sell her (mostly because I have an irrational desire to keep her:blushing:) but we're going to try a bit harder now. If I plan to sell off the kit though, I'll let you know.

Cheers:thumbup1:

Ah Yes

Hi Bill,

All overland equipped landys seem to go for the asking price on eBay, but obviously its a bit of a risk. I think its just a case of someone coming along with the cash at the time. I know there is another for sale on this board with James and thats under £6k, but again its all about the individual machines so hard to compare.

Anyhow give us a shout if you do have anything for sale, and good luck.

billh 19 Sep 2006 16:39

I'll see how we get on with trying a bit harder.

Re the bit you edited: AFAIK there was nothing wrong with the landy, and I'd be surprised if they'd deliberately mislead you. :frown:

CornishDaddy 19 Sep 2006 19:09

Thanks

Hi Bill thanks for that.

I didnt think it fair to leave it there when as an unfounded accusation hence I took it off. I onlyt left it there for two mins, you did well to spot it!

I hoped they handed tried anything on, it was jsut a big disappointment when we found out nbone of it worked.

Anyhow, we're gettting on with fixing it all now, so theres no real problems :)

Well... I'm still trying to sell my expedition land rover. She now has 12 months tax. I'm loathe to start stripping bits off when I've worked so hard to get her up to scratch.

I'll consider offers.

billh 29 Mar 2007 17:22

Hmmm, no interest? She really has to go, I'm going to start taking bits off over the next few weeks.

Make me an offer and take her away where she belongs.

Iskaa 29 Mar 2007 19:31

Maybe a few more pics, or a link to such. Or did I miss that?

billh 30 Mar 2007 10:36

Good point. Our website is here: Here and There in Africa and I'll get some fresh pics over the weekend.

Taking bits off??

Hi Bill,

I'm doing a similar trip to yours departing the end of Dec 07 but I'll be driving back as well!

You mention that you may be stripping down your vehicle.....does that mean you may have a rooftent up for grabs!!??

Any other useful bits you'll be selling on?

Hope so,

Ben Southall

Hmmm, no photos yet but things have changed... Last night some pissed up :censored: smacked his Civic into a friends car when it was parked outside. The Fabia is dead. Unfortunately I suspect my landy is the same as he hit the Fabia with enough force to ram the two together before scraping the rear of his car along the van parked opposite and mashing my wing, door and offside steering. His car landed on its roof smacking another car and missing my new ZT by a foot or two.

The Fabia is dead, the van has a mark that'll polish out and the Fiesta has a dent on the rear quarter. My landy has a fcuked bullbar (ARB - the best I could find), bent steering, fcuked wing and door and suspect bulkhead. She'll move under her own steam but the throttle is jammed wide open.

It's a bit of an ignominious death for a car that took us to Cape Townhttp://www.pistonheads.com/inc/images/cry.gif

The thttp://www.pistonheads.com/inc/images/censored.gift that did it is unhurt, but we believe insured and the BiB took him away in cuffs (FWIW, and I think they ignored me when I asked them to leave him with me for ten minuteshttp://www.pistonheads.com/inc/images/evil.gif). If I can take anything amusing away from this it's the drunken ramblings he had while he waited about how his girlfriend had told him she was a lesbian. I don't blame her at all.

billh 9 Apr 2007 08:31
