Defender Roll bar

I have one if anyone is interested?

I think it is a Safety Devices model, but I am not completely sure about that. The build is very good quality in any case with nice welds and bends. It has a diagonal member and two rear buttresses/outriggers so I believe it would be effective in a roll. I don't have the brackets to chassi but any competent welder/fabricator can sort these out for you.

Every tin top should have one!

Is it fully external? or does it go through the roof panel just behind the driver/passenger (as in front half "external" and rear bit "internal")???

What sort of money are you after?

cheers

Hi Jim,

It fits directly behind the bulkhead, with the two (bolt on) supports reaching back to join to the chassi through the tub. I had it fitted inside a 110 van but I think it would fit any Defender.

So internal (unless on a pickup).

Money - it needs to go - yours for £80

Swindon? - you might be in luck. I could deliver this weekend maybe if you contribute some diesel money.

Membership - help keep us going!

Horizons Unlimited is not a big multi-national company, just two people who love motorcycle travel and have grown what started as a hobby in 1997 into a full time job (usually 8-10 hours per day and 7 days a week) and a labour of love. To keep it going and a roof over our heads, we run events all over the world with the help of volunteers; we sell inspirational and informative DVDs; we have a few selected advertisers; and we make a small amount from memberships.

You don't have to be a Member to come to an HU meeting, access the website, or ask questions on the HUBB. What you get for your membership contribution is our sincere gratitude, good karma and knowing that you're helping to keep the motorcycle travel dream alive. Contributing Members and Gold Members do get additional features on the HUBB. Here's a list of all the Member benefits on the HUBB.
