Menu Designs and Organisation

Menu 12 = Menu 10 further reducing text and adding sub-menu links at top

We're looking for your thoughts on Menu Content:

1. Do the items on the menu and under the various menu headings make sense?
2. Would you put something somewhere else? e.g. put ":About HU" in a different column, or rename it to something else?
3. Does it make no sense and we should try something else completely?
4. Any other thoughts and comments?

We expect this to change and iterate!

Notes to Reviewers:

• These menus will REPLACE the current Left Menus
• The menus are designed for 'newbies' to the site who are overwhelmed by the content. They may also be useful in 'revealing' stuff to the old guys that didn't know it existed! We have used descriptive text as it seemed necessary, but any suggestions for shorter, snappier descriptions are always welcome!
• There are 3 vertical columns under each menu, which we have used to distinguish 'Site Content' from 'HUBB Forums' from 'Resources (i.e. DVDs) and Links'.
• Events, Store and About HU also have 3 vertical columns to keep the style consistent, but the headings are different for what hopefully are obvious reasons.
• HUBB Content has been included in the center of each relevant section, and clearly signposted so readers know when they are going to the HUBB vs. other site content. There is no HUBB tab, but there will be a HUBB Login/Register/HUBB home link prominently on the top right of each page.
• The DVDs have previously been highlighted on the Home Page and then only in the Store page, but we think they are extremely useful content. In the new design their content is explicitly described under Resources and Links in each relevant section, with links to Trailers and the Store page.

Please disregard icons, graphics, code and the 'home page' under the menus:

• Icons and graphics are NOT to be considered the final icons or graphics. Also colours, fonts etc. will be very different in the final version.
• The page underneath the menus is a graphic SAMPLE and WILL change significantly! Please ignore the page contents.
• The code that is being used to generate the menus is just a prototype and will NOT be the final code used, so don't worry about odd jumps or twitches (or indeed the fact that it doesn't work on an iPad!) Please just focus on the Menu Content.

Menu 10 = Menu 9 reflecting comments and reducing the verbiage.

Menu 9 = Menu 8 with links.

Menu 8 = Menu 6 with sample body. Menu itself is IDENTICAL to 6. We've simply added sample graphics for the page to make it look "real". Important note - the page is a SAMPLE and WILL change significantly! So just ignore the page contents. What we want to know is still the questions above, particularly 1 and 2.

Menu 7 = mobile version, to come later when we've locked down for content and order.

Menu 6 = advanced mega menu, with content and some samples of how it could be done. NOTE: Icons and pics, colours, fonts, etc are NOT final, only placeholders. See notes to reviewers on the page.

Menu 5 = mega menu default template - every possible type!

Menu 4 = early simple look and feel with fly-outs

Menu 2 = content tabs with drop-down lists
