An email I received recently from Vlad,
"...it is three years since I joined the HUC when there were 17 communities or so. And still I am a "one-person community" here in Odessa and in the entire Ukraine...
... to let you know... Vlad and the Odessa Community is still alive and working. I've had lots of visitors from everywhere who applied to me through HU and if you wish I can present a kind of report about the events. I just quietly and systematically do what I believe is helpful to others and interesting for me - as my slogan says -"Do Unto Others As You Would Do Unto Yourself".
Here's a photo of my wife Luda and I. At the right hand of me is Raymond Douglas from the US during his 'circumnavigation around the Black Sea' with a Turkish group in May 2003. In the corner is my old '71 slightly customized Ural."
