Two German girls on a motorcycle trip through the USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand

Why spend years planning what you can do tomorrow. Erika Rowe and Yaniv Singer took off on their big, let’s risk our lives before having kids blow-out trip. Erika JUST learned how to ride, neither of them have any mechanical experience, and they have 10 months to make it to the end of the world. California, USA to Ushuaia, Argentina, 2010/11.

Betty (Rosann) is riding a motorbike …around the world (with Dan)…a little bit at at time…mostly in 3 month bites. (one of us has to work) The story is loosely about Betty…travelling through countries and little towns…bypassing big cities and big highways (as much as possible).
Encouraged by friends, work mates, complete strangers and family…we write a little bit of story each day…take a few photos…the odd movie…a few maps and other stuff (bad jokes and inappropriate language) added on as well.
Mostly, the story is easy to understand…except for the little bits of Tasmanian peculiar language and spelling……….just ignore these bits.

While up mountains at 5000m, it is unwise to make massive, life-changing plans. The lack of oxygen may well be affecting you. So if you decide suddenly to go on a round-the-world adventure on a 21yr old motorbike for a year or more, think Very Carefully. Or just do it.

I found myself cold, windswept and out in the middle of nowhere, Nevada but the sunset glowing ochre and violet, allowed me confirmation of why I was motorcycling solo on yet another back road journey.
