My name is Damian Galvin & after leaving my dream Engineering job at Aston Martin Ltd in the uk, I set up White Mountain Property in Brasov, Transylvania. But I haven't lost my petrol-headed roots! I'm an ex UK member of HU & am happy to help any passing bikers as best I can. So if you need to re-weld your frame, change a tyre, or rebuild the engine, I usually know someone who can help. I myself broke down in my landrover at the top of the Transfagaras mountain road, 25km from the main hightway & knowing where to get a tow truck to get me back to Brasov made a massive difference to the experience.
Brasov, Bran, Moieciu, Fundata, Transfagarasan, Pestera etc are truly incredible places to visit & I highly recommend it as a bikers prime destination. As an avid bike traveller (I have an Africa Twin, DR800 & a had GS1100), I live in (gorgeous) Brosov (google it), near the centre of transylvania & am happy to help with anything from a free safe to leave you bike overnight while you stay in a town hotel to finding you affordable holiday villa rental in the midst of incredible biker routes. One such villa is only 500meters away from the excellent but maybe expensive 'MotoRom' KTM centre near Bran Castle. So you can use the centre by day or half day & get me to find you a villa for you or a group to stay in. http://www.craiasabranului.com.
This is a short vid of some riding routes I made recently. Also here.

Language schools in San Pedro la Laguna, Guatemala. Recommended by seattlepaul on the HUBB: "I think San Pedro la Laguna is a much better place for Spanish. It's cheaper by far, and the locals are the best."
Absolutely brilliantly SIMPLE site! Can't understand a word of a language? Type it into the window - or just paste it in from a previously prepared document - and select the translation you want. The answer comes back in a few seconds! Limited in length of document, but fine for even a lengthy e-mail message. I use this site all the time.
Are you a Motorcycle Traveller?
Does the smell of spices wafting through the air make you think of Zanzibar, a cacophony of honking horns is Cairo, or a swirl of brilliantly patterned clothing Guatemala? Then this is the site for you!
