The past 10 years I drove all over Europe, now the time has come to explore Africa.
After 27 years of surviving Hong Kong, Nish, a French native and his girlfriend Abby, a talented pianist, decided that it was time to get back to real life and planned a good long trip from UK down to Cape Town in South Africa by the West Coast and then back up the East Coast of Africa aiming at Turkey before turning right towards Mongolia and Japan. Departure is coming soon.... Will they make it ?

Le Chais (in former times a place where wine has been bottled) is situated at the "Parc Naturel Regional du Vercors" in the southern French Departement la Drôme. Le Chais, an estate of some 12 hectares, embedded in a marvellous landscape, is a home for hikers, cyclists, mountain-bikers, moto- and enduro-riders.
La Basse Cour, Biker-friendly B&B near Alençon (Lower Normandy, France). Friendly welcome, comfortable beds, generous ensuite bathrooms with large showers and plenty of hot water. Two doubles, one twin bedroom. Extra bed possible in one of the double rooms. Large lakeside gardens to chill out and relax, sheltered terraces with plenty of seating and tables. Cheap, good value restaurant with good food and plenty of it just 200m away - but don't look at the restaurant decor!
Secure garage space, workshop, tools for emergency repairs - you can borrow airlines and workshop tools if necessary. In case of wet weather there is an airer in the garage for drying your gear. Cloths and detergent provided for cleaning helmets and visors.
